Who are we? What do we offer? What makes us different?
Mazarrón Angels came into being after Susana Yoxall, who had spent nine months rushing around the local medical centres (sometimes like a headless chicken!) realised that there were some organisational issues that could be improved and that there was a need for a service based offering tailored to suit the needs of the many English speaking residents and visitors in the area.
By creating a subscription based service, we can offer structure and consistency to our clients. Some of the benefits that Mazarrón Angels offer will be available to our members only.
With the benefit of our experience we have designed a service based offering that will provide a smooth flow from start to finish, with no over booking of appointments and 24/7 emergency telephone cover.
In addition to this, we are not limited to medical work only, but can assist in other Spanish/English areas, such as house purchase, legal work, Notarios etc.
We also undertake individual translation work for non members.
What makes us different? Our client’s happiness with our service is our prime consideration. We will go the 'extra mile' – every time. We aim to give a special service tailored to each individual client. In this day and age, it’s all about people, and those people are YOU!

MEMBERSHIP SERVICES
- Membership of Mazarrón Angels entitles you to free assistance at two Doctor's Appointments per person per month.
- This includes appointments made by us to collect prescriptions should this be required.
- Appointments MUST be made by US. Appointments made by clients directly will count as if the client were a non-member and charged accordingly.
Help to register with a doctor at Mazarrón Health Centre, or at the Health Centre in the Port of Mazarrón if you are not already registered. Once registered, you will be able to easily obtain your prescriptions (especially important where repeat prescriptions are required). We will make sure that your doctor is fully informed of any pre-existing conditions that you tell us about.
If you need help with INSS (Instituto Nacional de Seguridad Social) in Totana this is a chargeable extra.
Assistance to renew or resolve issues with your card such as change of address, box number or telephone number. We can assist you to change doctor should this be required.
- Discount on Local Specialist appointments. We are now fortunate enough to have a few specialists running clinics at the Mazarrón Health Centre. If you need a specialist appointment we will obviously try to obtain one for you locally, but this is not always possible.
- Discount on Specialist Hospital visits. Unfortunately we will have to include travel time to and from Cartagena/Murcia, but our prices cover you for 2 hours, are fixed and have no hidden extras.
- 24 Hour Emergency Telephone Cover.
OTHER BENEFITS
- Assistance to change or chase up routine mammogram appointments.
- Free reminders of checkups discussed during previous visits to your doctor. eg. another blood test is required in 6 months time.
SERVICES FOR NON-MEMBERS:
- Hourly rate: 20€ weekdays, 30€ weekends and fiestas.
- Specialist locally (usually out of normal hours): 20€ per hour.
- Specialist - Cartagena: 60€. (up to 2 hours at the hospital).
OTHER SERVICES
We don’t just cover Medical matters; we can help you in many other areas such as planning permission, notaries, builders, funerals, utilities, NIE´s and any other legal matters that you may encounter.
We also provide a document translation service; both English/Spanish and Spanish/English.
If it involves the Spanish language then we can cover it!
SUBSCRIPTION FEES
15€ Per person per month.
This fee is subject to a minimum of 12 months, and is payable in advance.
OTHER FEES
20€ Emergency out of hours phone translations.
15€ Local Specialist Appointments.
45€ Cartagena Hospital Appointments. (up to 2 hours at the hospital). Extra time is charged at 20€ per hour or part thereof.
30€ INSS registration
All prices quoted include IVA (VAT) at 16%.
